Welcome from the Headteacher
King Edward VI Aston School is a wonderful place to work and learn. As part of the King Edward VI Foundation community of schools, we have been a grammar school for boys since 1883.
Our vision at Aston is to see all students thrive at school, as they become articulate, well-rounded global citizens who embody our core values of diligence, honesty, integrity and kindness.
The school has deep roots in its community and is proud to work in collaboration with a whole host of partners to deliver our vision. Through inspirational teaching which takes place in our classrooms throughout the academic year, as well as an exceptional offer of extra-curricular visits, clubs and societies, our students have wonderful opportunities to learn and grow together. Through high expectations of effort, uniform and behaviour, we strive to achieve academic outcomes which are the very best they can be. Every year, students leave us to progress to outstanding destinations to continue this learning journey.
Although the students' academic performance is incredibly important to us, we understand that all young people face difficulty in their lives at some point. Consequently, we have a team of dedicated pastoral and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure that well-being, both in terms of physical and mental health, is nurtured and developed.
I have the honour and privilege of leading this school, however our success has always been a factor of teamwork and collaboration. When visitors come to Aston, they frequently comment on how friendly the school is. We hope that you agree and look forward to meeting you in the future.
I hope you are able to find the information that you are looking for about the school on our website, however if you cannot please do not hesitate to contact us at enquiry@keaston.bham.sch.uk.
With my very best wishes,
Matt Brady
